After apprenticing with several woodworking masters, designer Iba Takahito founded Ibazen on the idea of crafting furniture with the greatest attention to quality. His use of exclusively Hokkaido lumber (Japanese cherry wood) found locally near the Ibazen workshop and special "Fuki-Urushi" lacquering, highlights his devotion to classical Japanese woodworking techniques.
